Weekly Devotional: Moments with Our Master

For Those Seeking "An Abundant Life"

A Life Pattern Worth Living

My mother made my clothes during my pre-school years. She carefully cut out the material, using patterns bought at a yarn store, then sewed the pieces together. Likewise, our Father God weaves many patterns of our individual life, beginning before birth. Psalm 139 says "... You are wonderfully made". All people are created in the image of God (Gen. 1:27). Your identity and dignity are rooted in close fellowship with our Father and immersing yourself in His Word (Promises). True quality of life does not come from following a worldly pattern (i.e. career successes, ego driven pursuits or relational abuse). It is in Jesus, who is one with our Father, that we find the true meaning (purpose) of life. God's glory shines brightest through brokenness, weakness - our inabilities become the best platform for God's best. Even in the midst of your pain, agony you face daily, you are a God-reflector, a child of the Most High God.

Scripture: John 10:10 "The thief (Satan) comes only to kill, steal and destroy; I come that you may have life and have it abundantly".

Meditate: God's Word encourages us to become a Voice for Life...for the fragile unborn, prisoners, elderly, disabled, addicts, suffering from sickness, family dysfunctions, all of life's maladies.
