Mental Health Seminar: “Successful Care-Giving”
If you are caring for a senior adult, or if you may soon be responsible for caring for aging parents, you will not want to miss special seminar! Our guest speaker, Nora Gravois, is the counselor at the Wellness Center for Older Adults in Plano. She has spent the last 15 years supporting patients and families in Hospice, Home Health, Intensive Outpatient Psychotherapy for older adults, Memory Care, and Hospital case-management. Nora has also spent the last 8 years as a geriatric social worker with a specialty in Dementia care and caregiver supports, helping older persons and their families with case-management support in the community, their home, and in facilities. In this online workshop, Nora Gravois will share strategies for self-care while providing care to others within our own definition of "successful". This class presents an encouraging review of ways, patterns of thought, activities, and supports that a caregiver can utilize in the caregiving journey; it particularly takes into account the challenges and strengths that are present within the Pragmatic Caregiver "stage" as identified by Denise Brown. FREE. Please register here to receive the Zoom link for this event. |
