When I get a glimpse of myself as you must see me, Jesus, I'm stunned and embarrassed. Stripped of my facades, pretenses and camouflaging falsehoods that keeps others and myself from seeing me for who I really am, I'm not a pretty sight.
But I am overwhelmed by Your tender mercies.
Quoting the lyrics of a song titled "Heart of God" by Zach Williams - I know you're hurting, I can see it in your eyes. So pull back the curtain, take off your disguise, whoever told you that you aren't worth the fight. The Cross tells a story that'll change your mind. Jesus is not shaking His head, writing you off leaving you lost. He's not sitting ringing His hands, wishing He'd never went to that Cross. He's not sitting unattentive to our desires and pleas. He went to that Cross, He went to that Cross!
But I am touched by His hands reaching us in heart-to-heart divine connection and His love in action.
How do you seek the heart of God? Ask Him, then listen and watch. God desires to reveal His heart to you. When you ask to know the heart of God, you can be sure He will answer your prayer because it is His will for you to know Him. Look for signs of your heart captivated by God.
Scripture: Matt 7:7 Jesus said, "Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
Meditate: How do I let God fix my heart? Begin with prayer of acknowledgement, accepting that you have a withered, broken heart and only God can help you. He went to that Cross just for you.
