glorybees.jpgThe Glory Bees are an active, enthusiastic fellowship of senior adults who enjoy a variety of opportunities to get together with their Suncreek friends. We try to schedule an activity every other month such as catered dinners at the church, a tour of Cowboys stadium, concerts, plays, the Biblical Museum, a RoughRiders baseball game in the spring to name a few, and we're always open to suggestions from our members.

Join Our Email List
If you are interested, just send an email to  and we will add your name to our email list. When an outing is planned you will receive an email telling you how to sign up if you want to go so join us when you can.
Anyone 50 years or older is welcome to join, and we need some of our younger friends to be drivers when we carpool to an event.

The Glory Bees Name
Our name came from a former beloved pastor, Kathleen Baskin-Ball who used the expression "Glory Be" during those special moments in life when God's presence with us is so overwhelming that all we can say is "Glory be"! As senior adults we have all experienced many of those awe-inspiring moments, so we thought it would be an appropriate name for our fellowship.

WOW is open to all women (age 50+) of the church who enjoy lunch out with the girls and good fellowship. We meet on the 4th Monday of every month at Cheddar's at 190 E Stacy Rd in Allen (across from Macy's).  We gather at 11:00 a.m. and always warmly welcome newcomers to join us! For more information e-mail Sharon Cole at

Coming Events

Once again we have been asked to provide Christmas gift bags for 90 senior adults at Wesley-Rankin Community Center in Dallas. The communion offering taken in October was designated for these gifts so we will be able to fill them with lots of needed and useful items and treats!  Last year we had so much fun enjoying fellowship and lunch together after we prepared the gift bags that we want to do that again. I hope that YOU can join us on Friday, December 1st at noon in the Round Room for a time of fellowship with your Suncreek friends, a light lunch and the joy of filling the gift bags in the spirit of this blessed season. Please email me at if you're coming and bring $5 for lunch. We look forward to sharing this time with all of you!

"The Gift of Christmas" at Prestonwood Baptist Church on W. Park Blvd. Join us Sunday, Dec.10th at the 2:30 p.m. matinee performance. Tickets are $31 for good seats and there are no discounts for groups or seniors and no refunds on tickets. Tickets go on sale Oct. 30th and they sell quickly so we need to decide if some of you would like to go so that we could order the tickets early to be able to sit together.  Write checks out to Gail Wade and put them in the white envelope on the front desk (Christy's desk). We can carpool together from Suncreek.
