We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion monthly on the first Sunday of the month during Sunday Morning Worship and at the Tuesday Evening Holy Communion Service listed above.  Communion is also offered in other settings.  Sometimes Communion is offered at retreats, small group gatherings, weddings, and special worship services. 

The table of Holy Communion is Christ’s table, not the table of The United Methodist Church or of Suncreek UMC.   It is open to all regardless of age or church membership. The table is open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ’s love and seeks to lead a new life of peace and love. 

Cans for Communion
In celebration of Holy Communion Suncreek United Methodist Church’s mission committee would like to ask you to consider bringing a canned food item to the mission bins on communion Sundays.  Cans for Communion is a way of expressing our thanks for Jesus’ love and sacrifice by reaching out to those in our community who need our help and grace.  Your donation to “Cans for Communion” will be delivered to a local food pantry each month.

Communion Offering

October
The October communion offering will go to support the expenses for Suncreek’s mission focus birthday weekend November 9th-11th. The offering will help to buy supplies needed to help with the various projects such as supplies to renovate rooms at Elmwood UMC in Dallas, supplies to create gifts for ministries around the world, food for food baskets for local families in need, soldier and college care packages and so much more. The weekend “One service, all in Service” will engage our church family in reaching out to members of our own community and around the world. Watch for more details about this exciting weekend of service opportunities.

November
Pastor's Descretionary Account
The November Communion offering will go to support the pastor’s discretionary account.  This account is used to help members of our church family and in our own community who need assistance.  This fund has also provided scholarships for children and youth to attend various church camps and trips.  This fund truly makes a difference in the lives of so many throughout the year who are facing struggles and need a little support from their local church.

December
Food Baskets
The December Commuion offering will got to purchase food baskets that will be delivered to families in Allen who are food insecure. Your offering will make many families have a wonderful Christmas who would otherwise go hungry.    If you would like to be a part of assembling the food baskets and distributing them please join us on Saturday, December 15th at 9:30 at the church or contact Janet Hunt for more details.
