Our youth choir is named Cantate. Our extraordinary choir is for youth in 6th to 12th grades. We meet on Sundays evenings in the Sanctuary (Grades 9-12: 5:00 - 6pm; Grades 6-8: 6:30 – 7:30pm, ). The choir was started in early 2005. We provide the primary music leadership for the 8:15am Sunday morning worship. We already have a rich tradition of presenting exciting musicals and taking Summer Concert and Missions Tours.
We have more great plans for 2010! We welcome all youth to join our choir!
Cantate will be taking its annual tour from June 10 through 17 as they make their way toward Lexington, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio. The choir will be making stops at various churches and retirement homes and will also be participating in some hands on mission work during their time in Cincinnati. One day will be devoted to nothing but play as they spend time at King's Island, a theme park north of Cincinnati. As they make their way back to Texas, there will be stops in Wilmore, Kentucky and the Illinois suburbs of St. Louis. Please keep this group and their chaperons in your prayers as they set out on this trip and spread their gifts of music beyond the walls of Suncreek. below is a schedule of this years tour.
