Communications Adminstrative Assistant Opening


20 hours per week, annual salary $15,000

 

Position Overview
Suncreek United Methodist Church is pleased to announce the need for a communications assistant.  The successful candidate will be responsible for key weekly communication as well as seasonal production of outreach materials that support the ministry, missions, and goals of Suncreek UMC.  The hours are flexible with a minimum of 7 hours per week required in office. 

 

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Create, produce, and distribute monthly newsletter (Church Matters)
  2. Create and distribute weekly congregational e-mails
  3. Post calendar on church website
  4. Create, produce, and distribute seasonal ministry communication pieces
  5. Create, produce, maintain content, and distribute church communication pieces
  6. Publicize the ministries of Suncreek through various media and communication outlets
  7. Staff liaison to Communication Committee

 

Required Skills

  1. Proficient with computer, including
  2. Previous experience with graphic design and publication software (Photoshop, InDesign, etc)
  3. Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  4. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work ahead

 

Experience

  1. Post high school education preferred
  2. Previous graphic experience preferred
