This comprehensive catalogue describes all adult classes, Bible studies, fellowship groups, support groups and retreat opportunities offered. F.A.I.T.H. Group
The F.A.I.T.H. Group meets on Fridays mornings. Participants read contemporary books and discuss these in
relation to the Christian faith journey. Childcare is available with an

Couples Retreat
Couples are
invited to attend special marriage enrichment retreats. The program is

Glory Bees
The Glory Bees is a new group of "older" adults at Suncreek that gathers regularly for Fun and Fellowship. In March, they are planning to visit the Kimbell Art Museum in Ft. Worth to the exhibit Picturing the Bible: The Earliest Christian Art. For more information contact Angel Ball. |

Retired Men's
Luncheon Fellowship
Suncreek's Retired Men's Luncheon Fellowship meets on the second
Monday of the month at 1pm at the Twin Creek Golf Club restaurant. For more

Senior Support Services
A new ministry known as Senior Support Services began September 1, 2007. Senior Support Services offers support and organizational tools to assist with the day-to-day issues of caring for seniors, their caregivers and families, and offers suggestions and support to help extend the ability of seniors to live independently. Services include consulting and strategies for reducing monthly operating costs, suggested sources for household services, and referrals to local agencies and organizations. Shorter-Term Adult Studies
Throughout
the year we offer a number of studies for adults that typically meet for about
3 to 8 weeks. Some of these studies are linked to the Christian calendar
like Lenten and Advent studies. We regularly offer a Spiritual Gifts class that focuses on helping persons identify and use
the gifts God has given them. Some courses focus on practical skills like Parenting Pre-teens and Teens. Our Suncreek 101 class provides
information about the many ministries of the church and offers the opportunity
to discuss the beliefs and traditions of the United Methodist Church.
Suncreek Singles
Suncreek has a growing group of
singles. Our new Singles Ministry offers a variety of opportunities.
Support Groups:
Alzheimer's Support Group
Dealing with Alzheimer's or dementia is difficult for the patient and his or her family. Jennifer Thompson facilitates a support group of family members and other caregivers who are dealing with the effects of Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. Caregiver Support Group
The Suncreek Caregiver Support Group offers a team of SUMC members to listen to and share concerns, needs and experiences related to parents, family members, or friends who are entering short-term or long-term care. Examples include cancer treatment, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term hospital care, etc. Caregiver Support will meet monthly beginning in October. The first organizational meeting for this group will be held Tuesday, October 2 at 8:00 pm at the church. Anyone in need of assistance or someone to talk to is welcome. Cancer Support Group
Audrey Thompson, an oncology nurse, has offered to
lead a support group for those dealing with cancer or recovering/recovered from
cancer, to share experiences and offer information and care to each other. If interested,

United Methodist Men (UMM)
Our United
Methodist Men’s group had its inaugural meeting in June of 2002. All men are
invited to join the Suncreek UMM for meetings on the first Friday Morning of
each month at 7:00am in Palmer Hall. |
United Methodist Women (UMW)
Suncreek’s United Methodist Women group
has monthly General Meetings and offers a yearly retreat. The UMW Book Club is
called the Alpha-Omega Circle. It meets once a month on Friday mornings at 9am.
UMW also sponsors an annual Mother-Daughter Banquet in May.
Walk to Emmaus Retreats
Attend one of
the special weekend experiences known as Walk to Emmaus.
Women’s Bible Study Group
A New Women’s Bible Study Group will meet every other Thursday morning from 9:30 -11:00 in Room M5, beginning September 6th. This fellowship and study group, led by Catherine Bolding and Leslie Yeary, will discuss a variety of materials throughout the year. Their first study will be Living By Grace: A Study of Galatians.
